Outstanding Kid!

Cougar mania is in full swing at our house. This is a picture of Nate's football team. The season is coming to an end, or so I thought, until I realized that his last game is at the end of November. Driving Nate to and from practice is one of the many reasons that I have not posted in a while. Between football, ballet, scouts, activity days, homework and two year old twins, I have no free time. When one of those blissfully, quiet moments comes around I am usually asleep. Even so, as busy as life is at our house, I am glad that the kids have things to do that they love. Nate loves football. He loves playing with his team and he loves his coaches.

He has this inate love of sports. It is in his blood. I watched him as a toddler bypass trucks, cars, and action figures for anything that resembled a ball. He was swinging a bat when he could barely hold it up. I spent many frustrated Christmas mornings because I saw him ignore the new toys that he received, that is until I figured out that all he wants to do is play ball. I'm gonna have a proud mommy moment now, so bear with me.....I had a chat with Nate's school teacher recently and she told me something great about him. She said that he is very athletic and really shines in that area, but he also has a lot of integrity because he passes the ball more than he takes it. She said that she was so impressed by this because he is capable of being a "ball hog", but he choses different. I was more pleased in hearing this, than if I heard that he won a championship game. I have asked Nate what his favorite sport is and he always says the same thing...."whichever one I'm playing." I am raising such an outstanding kid!.... (I guess Clint can have some credit too :)

Wow! I thought I was busy with 3 kiddos going to football and ballet! Next time I get stressed, I'll think, "What would Tami do?" LOL! Great job to Nate for being a team player!
